The truth is, people are simply living longer. 

 The latest statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:

  • Each year, 2.5 million older people are treated in emergency departments for fall injuries.
  • Over 700,000 patients a year are hospitalized because of a fall injury, including 250,000 for hip fractures.
  • More than 95% of hip fractures are caused by falling
  • Adjusted for inflation, the direct medical costs for fall injuries are $34 billion annually

Falling and fall prevention are not sexy subjects!

Injury due to falling will result in many seniors having to move out of their homes to assist living facilities.

Yet, over 90% of senior citizens want to remain living in their current home.
