Grab Bar Grips

Grab Bar Grips

When selecting a grab bar, you may wish to consider a variety of factors including shape and style, size, material, and color (links to each blog).

Although you can find grab bars with different types of grips, the Maxima line of Ponte Giulio grab bars that we offer provides a superior non-slip surface that is soft and warm to the touch.

One misconception is that a knurled surface provides the best grip. For knurling to work effectively you have to have a strong enough grip for the skin on your hand to press into the valleys of the knurling. The clients that are most apt to need a grab bar may not have the hand strength to make it effective. The polyamide surface coating on our Ponte Giulio grab bars acts like a set of brakes either wet or dry.
